Anything we needed. The room was a true sanctuary, beautifully decorated and equipped with modern amenities. The location also provided a lovely view of the walled garden.

The owner met us, nice, but the bathroom was not en-suite-absoluteley unacceptable for the price we paid. And the shared tea facility had no way to keep my milk cool, how quaint. I suppose i was expecting an upgrade or something special, but clearly that was too much to ask for. Almost gave a good review, just couldn't.

The absence of hooks in the bathroom is baffling!!! Having no toilet roll holder is a nuisance!!! I expected an en-suite for this price, yet sharing tea-making facilities outside the room lacks convenience!!! The creaking bedroom door disturbed my sleep!!! Only one chair in the room made getting ready a struggle!!!

The room had a spacious feel with interesting decor that added character. The garden views from the bedroom were a nice touch, perfect for enjoying morning coffee.

The lack of an en-suite bathroom was disappointing for the price, especially when fresh milk for tea lacked a cooling solution. Sharing tea-making facilities outside the room wasn't very convenient, and the creaking bedroom door caused disturbances during the night. It was like certain amenities were missing for a more comfortable stay.

Reminded me of we were at home with comfy beds, unique decor, clean spaces, and lovely tea-making facilities. Enjoyed fresh pastries, too!

Recommend for one night

Imposing house, excellent breakfast, spacious bedroom, with views over the gardens and a cozy adjoining bathroom. The free wi-fi and parking were great, while the location was perfect for exploring the surroundings, just 45 km from the nearest airport.

Everything was really good.

We had a lovely stay while attending a wedding nearby, and Tina was super friendly, sharing the place's history with us. The cozy lounge and the game room were a nice touch for some downtime. I wish the check-in process was a bit smoother, but it didn't take away from our experience. 😊

The priory is such a lovely place, the hosts are super friendly and cute. Our room was really spacious and decorated beautifully. The bed was sooo comfy. We loved the breakfast, especially the homemade granola and pastries, fresh and tasty! Sat outside for morning coffee with a view of the lovely walled garden, feels like home. Already planning my next visit!

Only complaint is the bathroom could use more hooks for towels. Wish there was easier access to fresh milk for tea instead of it being outside the rooms.

This place is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, which was ideal for a weekend getaway with my family and Gurney Manor was conveniently nearby.
